In today’s society, I see a common problem. That is the inability for most people to look internally within themselves to decipher what is going on with their soul. Our outer circumstances, for the majority of the time, are because of an internal issue. This is a vital skill that we as people and society need so that we can see the positive changes happen in our environments, and therefore in our world.
We have an internal compass, and if we have the courage to look inside to see, we will see clearly why we are going in certain directions, especially if they are contrary to what we would like to have. Healing happens in the space of self-reflection and self-accountability. Many are afraid to look inside themselves for fear of what they might uncover. But there is grace and healing when we do so, when we look at ourselves not with condemnation and judgment, but with compassion.
We as human beings have been hurt in our past and possibly right now in our present. However, it doesn’t have to remain that way. If we can do the work necessary and comb through and weed out the things that we know do not resonate with our soul and our spirit, we will become beautiful vessels for change in our world.
In today’s society, many people are more concerned about outer appearance and become more like actors on a stage rather than their authentic selves. If we turned inward, the true beauty of our genuine nature will outshine whatever performance we feel like we need to have before others, before God, and before ourselves.
We do not need to fit the mold of what everyone else is doing. The most powerful and most beautiful thing that we can do for humankind is to be who we truly are at our core. And that is truly divine and true beauty.
