I’m Lexi, and this space has become my sacred container for exploring the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern consciousness. What started as personal journaling has evolved into Alexandria’s Journal—a place where philosophy meets spirituality, where inner healing becomes outer transformation, and where seekers gather to explore the deeper questions of existence.I’m not here to be your guru or give you all the answers. I’m here to share what I’ve learned, what’s worked for me, and what ancient and modern teachers have illuminated on this path.
Most importantly, I’m here to remind you that you already have everything you need within you—sometimes we just need a little guidance to remember.
I believe in:
Authentic spirituality over spiritual bypassing
Practical wisdom that you can actually apply
Gentle healing that honors your unique timeline
Integrated wellness that doesn’t separate mind, body, and spirit
Community over competition in our growth journeys

Did you know that celestial bodies are known as luminaries?
Planets, stars, sources of light in the cosmos- they’re all called luminaries.
But here’s what stopped me in my tracks: we are luminaries too.
The Science:
– Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp (German biophysicist) demonstrated that human cells emit biophotons, concluding that every human body is essentially a “being of light.”
– Japanese scientists Kikuchi and Kobayashi captured the first images proving the human body emits light invisible to the naked eye.
We are not just biological beings. We are light bodies. We are frequency. We are vibration.
Last night I was reading a book, “Planetary Magick” and in the foreward it explained three levels of working with celestial bodies:
1. Astronomy (observation of the planets and stars)
2. Astrology (interpretation of those celestial movements)
3. Planetary Magick (the practical application- using the planets’ energies for transformation)
And it hit me: if what is in the heavens can affect humans, it’s because there is something within us that resonates with that energy. In the same way that we resonate with the energy of the planets, so too do we resonate with one another and our environments based on our frequency and vibration that we emit.
Now for those of you who are on the more traditional Christian perspective. I wanted to see if the word luminaries was in the bible. When I researched if there is a translation that includes this word, to my delight, there is a translation from Young’s Literal Translation. (Yes, that Young, The Concordance Young.)
14 And God saith, `Let luminaries be in the expanse of the heavens, to make a separation between the day and the night, then they have been for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years,
15 and they have been for luminaries in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth:’ and it is so.
16And God maketh the two great luminaries, the great luminary for the rule of the day, and the small luminary — and the stars — for the rule of the night;
17 and God giveth them in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth,
18 and to rule over day and over night, and to make a separation between the light and the darkness; and God seeth that [it is] good;
19and there is an evening, and there is a morning — day fourth.
Fun Fact: Young was strict about word for word translations from their original languages and found that the KJV of the bible was “lacking” in it’s translation into English. What I loved about this, is that Young FIRST created his concordance and THEN created his translation of the bible.
Anywho…
Finding this out, it made me think, “Is this why God says, let your light shine before men?” “Is this why there are so many references regarding us as light, and not to dim it? and is this one of the reasons why we say on earth as it is in heaven.”
These phrases aren’t just poetic- it’s practical instruction. When you align your frequency with what the heavens are doing, when you synchronize with the rhythms and energies of the cosmos, you operate at your highest frequency here on earth.
The heavens are already in perfect alignment. The question is are you?
This isn’t “woo woo.” This is science meeting ancient wisdom. And in fact, the bible isn’t the only source confirming this. There are other spiritual traditions that also dive into us being light bodies:
– Tibetan Buddhism: the “rainbow body” where the body transforms into light
– Sufism (Islamic mysticism): “Noor”- divine light as the first creation from which all beings emanated
– Hinduism: the subtle body of light and energy
– Western mysticism: the “body of glory” and celestial body
So when you hear people say “vibe high” or “raise your frequency,” we say this because we are luminaries. You were created to shine. You were created to own and radiate your authentic frequency here upon the earth and not allow yourself to operate in your lower vibration. You are meant to take personal responsibility to be who you are, in alignment with truth and your higher essence.
You are a luminary.
What would you do today if you truly understood that you are light? That when you align your frequency with the heavens, you bring heaven to earth? That every time you dim yourself, every time you shrink back, every time you hide behind fear or doubt or the opinions of others, hiding in the shadows- you are disrupting the frequency you were meant to radiate?
We live in a world where carefully curated posts and boards flood our timelines with how others think our life should look like. Sometimes we feel like we are falling short when we begin to compare ourselves and our lives to these virtual dream boards. Unfortunately, this is also happening in the holistic wellness community.
Here’s what I see:
We see the posts of tools that we must have.
We wear spiritual, hippie boho style because what that’s what we are supposed to be wearing.
We buy all the crystals and utilize all the herbs though we know nothing about them.
We wake up and do our morning meditations and body movement exercises so that we can look like the woman in the picture that looks like she has it all together.
But can I tell you something. When we think in comparison of what we should be doing, we are missing the point of wellness to begin with.
Holistic wellness isn’t about what’s trending. It’s about wholeness. It’s about authenticity. It’s about being who it is that you truly are from the inside. Then the tools that you use, the jewelry and clothes that you wear, the herbs that you put into your body, becomes a sacred ritual of self care.
And that practice fulfills no one else but you. From this space of wholeness, you are then able to shake up the vibrations that are around you and cause change in the world.
We have bargained and traded true holistic wellness, because we think that it needs to look like what everyone else is doing. This is farther than the truth.
I know it’s hard, especially when you continually feed on the idealized versions of yourself in every post. But, let me tell you, nothing is as beautiful as the genuineness of your own wellness journey.
Stop comparing yourself to who you think you should be and start rising to who it is that you actually are. Choose the wellness practices that resonates with your soul. This is true alignment.
Don’t be stirred in the wrong direction when it comes to holistic wellness, because you are not a carbon copy of another’s journey or what society says holistic wellness girlies are supposed to look like. Stop operating in the illusion that you need to be like another, when holistic wellness is about being you.
If you have been struggling to meet the demands of society’s expectation of holistic wellness, my request from you is this:
Grab a paper and pen, sit down and ask your yourself, God and your guides:
What does my wellness practice look like for me?
And then ask for practical steps to weave in those practices
By doing these two exercises, you will begin to walk in the authenticity of your soul and create a wellness practice that works for you, and not against you.
Commit to this practice so that you become your practice, and your practice becomes you.
The frequency you carry is the harvest of what you have sown, a vibration that emanates from your being as a living witness. So, what grows within your spiritual house? What seeds have ye planted in the soil of your soul? For ye are both the garden and the gardener. Both the dwelling place and the one who tends what grows within.
All who encounter you, interacts with what you’ve cultivated in your sanctuary.
To be honest I didn’t want to write today. Yet here I am, writing. I can journal and read and gain wisdom and insights but transferring it to the screen is a whole different story.
When I show up, I know that I am operating in my purpose. I know that when I share my thoughts and ideas, and it resonates even with one person, then I accomplished my goal. I finished my mission for the day.
I struggle with consistency and one of the things that I want you to know is that I am not perfect. Though, as a Virgo, my desire is to be. I tend to place a lot of unnecessary pressure upon myself as I strive to live a life pleasing to my highest self, and especially to The Most High. But, like we all do, sometimes we fail. Sometimes we miss the mark. Sometimes, we fall short. And other times, we just don’t feel like it.
But today I am here, and today that shows growth. It shows improvement. So, the only thing that I wanted to say to you is keep going. Keep striving to achieve balance and harmony within yourself and within your world. Show up even on days that you just don’t feel like it. Push past the resistance within you and do what you know you ought to do.
You may not accomplish all of your goals and dreams in one day. But you can accomplish them little by little, increment by increment. Work to create that compound interest, not just in the financial way, but in another prosperous way, which is for your soul health.
I don’t come here as someone who knows it all. I’m like you—a person on my own healing journey, trying to navigate life the best way I know how. As I continue to shed light on the ways that have helped me grow and transform, I hope the words I write bring peace, understanding, and knowledge. My hope is that you can take something from these posts and apply it to your own life, turning it into wisdom that works for you.
“You are a message. Everything you are, everything you have, everything you do is a message. What’s your message?”– Guillaume Wolf aka “Prof G”
This quote from “You Are A Message: Meditations for the Creative Entrepreneur” stopped me cold. It’s one of those questions that demands an honest answer, the kind that makes you pause whatever you’re doing and really think.
What is my message?
Earlier this week, while reading the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu, I stumbled upon a passage that seemed to answer Prof G’s question in the most profound way. It’s fascinating how wisdom finds you when you need it most. Lao Tzu wrote:
“The men whom you talked about and their bones have already rotted. Only their words remain.”
These simple words carry extraordinary weight. Lao Tzu was speaking to Confucius about the ancient sages—how their physical bodies had long since returned to dust, yet their wisdom continues to guide us today. We don’t just remember these figures; we actively apply their teachings thousands of years later.
Think about that power. Their bones have literally rotted away, but their message—their essence—still shapes how we think, live, and grow. The ancients embodied their truth so completely that their energy continues to ripple through time, reaching us in this very moment.
So here’s the question that matters: Are you embodying that same intentional energy in your everyday life? Are you being authentically yourself and radiating that power into the world?
Whether we realize it or not, we’re all walking, talking, living messages. Every interaction, every choice, every moment of our existence communicates something to those around us. We can’t escape this reality—we can only choose what story we’re telling.
Which brings us back to Prof G’s essential question: What’s your message?
Are you crafting something that will echo across generations, or are you settling for something that will wither and fade? The beautiful truth is that you get to decide, right here, right now.
Your message isn’t just what you say—it’s how you live, how you treat others, what you stand for when no one is watching. It’s the legacy you’re building with every breath.
What would you do if you knew you were enough? What would you do if you knew that you had been created for a specific purpose, and only being your authentic self would shine the light on the world in a way that shook it to it’s core? What would you do if you knew the only thing that is holding you back… is you?
It’s taken me a long to realize that I cared a lot more about what other people thought of me, rather than what I truly think about myself. Is that you today? Have you been lingering in the shadows of yourself, and advertising a false narrative? A narrative that you think is safe and carefully curated so that it didn’t step on anyone else’s toes? Do you think somehow that you are too much for the world to handle, so you just shrink back into a space of existence, that is truly nonexistence?
If you resonate with this, sometimes you just need permission. Today, I give that to you. I give you permission to be your authentic self, whatever that looks like and whatever that feels like in your soul. I give you permission to be you.
I can read your mind… are you saying, “yeah, right! Like it’s really that easy!”
The truth is…Yes! It is! It is so simple, that we often overlook the power of someone else giving us permission to do or to be something, to be someone! With so much negativity in the world, and especially if you have religious programming, we have so much coming against us telling us who we cannot be. What we cannot achieve, and if you keep feeding into the illusion that you are powerless against these thoughts and this low vibrational energy, we will succumb into what other people want us to be. And what does that do? WE just become an illusion of ourselves!
I give you permission! Now give yourself permission to become all that you want and all that you can be. Step away from the shadow self and walk into the light of your beauty! It’s time to embrace the beauty of being authentically you.
In a world that often feels like a stage, remember there’s no need to perform any longer! Your true self is more than enough, and their are those who will see and cherish you for exactly who you are. While some may not connect with your essence, it’s important to release any defensive thoughts and trust that what’s meant for you will find its way. Celebrate your unique path and trust in the timing of your journey. What aligns with you will naturally resonate, and what doesn’t is simply meant for someone else.
I give you permission. Now step into the fullness…of you.
In today’s society, I see a common problem. That is the inability for most people to look internally within themselves to decipher what is going on with their soul. Our outer circumstances, for the majority of the time, are because of an internal issue. This is a vital skill that we as people and society need so that we can see the positive changes happen in our environments, and therefore in our world.
We have an internal compass, and if we have the courage to look inside to see, we will see clearly why we are going in certain directions, especially if they are contrary to what we would like to have. Healing happens in the space of self-reflection and self-accountability. Many are afraid to look inside themselves for fear of what they might uncover. But there is grace and healing when we do so, when we look at ourselves not with condemnation and judgment, but with compassion.
We as human beings have been hurt in our past and possibly right now in our present. However, it doesn’t have to remain that way. If we can do the work necessary and comb through and weed out the things that we know do not resonate with our soul and our spirit, we will become beautiful vessels for change in our world.
In today’s society, many people are more concerned about outer appearance and become more like actors on a stage rather than their authentic selves. If we turned inward, the true beauty of our genuine nature will outshine whatever performance we feel like we need to have before others, before God, and before ourselves.
We do not need to fit the mold of what everyone else is doing. The most powerful and most beautiful thing that we can do for humankind is to be who we truly are at our core. And that is truly divine and true beauty.
